In keeping with a culinary philosophy rooted in S.O.A.L. (Sustainable, Organic, Artisanal and Local ingredients) The Sanderling now offers monthly artisanal butchering classes for guests with an interest in this old world style of preparing and cooking meat.

From steer and pig to lamb and veal, guests will learn how to break down and prepare meat in a USDA certified facility at Weeping Raddish Farm, located near The Sanderling, during this day long course. Aspiring artisan butchers will also learn how to make hot dogs and enjoy a lunch of house made charcuterie and micro-brewed Weeping Raddish beer.

Upon return to The Sanderling, a three course dinner will be served communal-style at The Left Bank featuring the product that the guest broke down earlier in the day.
